Hello friends

As you may notice I haven't uploaded art in a while. This is due to my scanner still being not.. installed. However, I've been drawing a lot, and have some art I look forward to sharing on here.

I want to draw pictures of my family to put up here, although every time I try to draw humans, they look like anime people who were melted under the sun.. so then you say "why not draw yourselves as dragons" and I say "BLASPHEMY!" after which I do a triple somersault out the window into my getaway car.

Hello friends

Well, I have some fun artwork that I want to post, will do as soon as I get scanner working. I just have to find my installation disk... so blegh. Anyway, in the mean time, here's an inside look and some fancy tidbits on some older pieces of art in my gallery



Ok, when I found this old sketch while cleaning out my desk, I was simply going to throw it away. Then for some reason I decided to upload it on DA since I was too busy to draw something new. For a while it was my most favorited piece. Now I don't throw away old art


I drew this on the back of a work sheet for my biology class in my freshman year of college. At the time it had no wing, so I fixed that on photoshop and changed the color to blue, which oddly made it look like I drew it in pen instead of pencil. Then I added the border, which just seemed awesome to me. I just wish i didn't mess it up with the smudge tool =/


I drew this for my darigan Eyrie at the time, Kamajit on Neopets. He is now frozen along with all my other little e-pets, but I can still look fondly on this picture. It won a spot on the neopet art spotlight and I got a lil trophy for it Not bad for my small dabblings in photoshop at the time



I drew this one while watching Arrested Development in my parent's house on a sheet of printer paper. For some reason I find the Bluth family inspiring



Last but not least, I'd like to hold a contest sometime, I'll give you plenty of notice beforehand

I want to get a screenie of my 10 views (whee!), so here's the deal; first person to get a screenie of my front page with 10,000 hits on it gets one art request which will be fully colored (or shaded depending on what ya want) If more than one person gets it, then whoever gives it to me first will get their full request, while the second person gets a lineart.

If i win, I buy myself sushi.

Since my significant other is off doing the work stuff, on my 'free time' I like to focus on self improvement, one of those categories being art improvement... soooooo

As you know I enjoy drawing dragons, but I wouldn't mind expanding my artistic capabilities. I'm letting it be an open forum for now for suggestions. Take advantage of this while you can, as I get more serious about my art, I will have less time to do freebies or art trades.

I will read any suggested comments, or feel free to send me a note!

**UPDATE**

Thank you guys for all the suggestions I am uploading the first batch I did, and I have to say it was fun to draw things other than dragons for a bit. Right now I''m interested in doing contests and art trades. Once I have more practice, I'll open up the field for commissions
